Expert services overview
Expert services help you find and consult specialists when research plans, computational results, or experimental questions need human judgment. Experts can review design logic, analyze risks, and map validation paths—but expert opinions do not replace raw data or actual experimental results. Expert services use an independent service flow; when contract downloads or wallet transfers are involved, complete them through the entries the main site currently provides.
The current online page labels the service Expert consultation and offers expert-level and field filters, keyword search, expert profiles, and a Book a consultation entry; when unsure whom to pick, you can also use Support-recommended expert.
When you need an expert
Expert services fit when:
- The agent has produced candidate plans and you need to judge the rationale, risks, and validation priorities.
- You need an executable experiment path designed around your goal, sample conditions, and available equipment.
- Computational predictions conflict with existing experimental results and inputs, methods, or conditions need review.
- Several candidate proteins, mutation sites, or technical routes are hard to choose among and need human review.
- You need to discuss literature, patents, compliance, or project feasibility and define the scope of further work.
- Standard consultation scenarios do not cover the need and you want the platform to help match an expert.
If the question is mainly database retrieval, initial candidate screening, or computational analysis, first organize the information in the agent workbench, then submit the subject, key results, and open questions to the expert.
Where to enter
- Sign in to MatwingsVenus® and open the agent workbench.
- Select Expert consultation in the left navigation.
- The expert services center opens, showing the Expert list and Support-recommended expert.

The top of the page filters experts by All, Senior, Intermediate, and Junior, and narrows by field, keyword, or recommended order. Expert cards show level, field tags, a summary, Book a consultation, and View profile.
When unsure which expert to choose
Support-recommended expert fits when the research area is not yet settled or listed experts have no suitable availability. Select its Book a consultation and the platform will help recommend an expert; whether more information is needed and the follow-up arrangement follow the current page.
The consultation flow
A consultation typically moves from a clear question through expert selection, booking confirmation, and result consolidation:
Organize the question and existing material
↓
Find an expert or use support recommendation
↓
Review the expert's profile and fields
↓
Select "Book a consultation"
↓
Confirm needs, timing, and service terms
↓
Attend the consultation and consolidate conclusions
The expert list only shows consultation entries—it does not mean a booking exists. Timing, fees, communication channel, and service scope are confirmed on later pages. For finding and comparing experts, see Find the right expert; for booking preparation and follow-up, see Booking and consultation.
Before the consultation
| Information | What to prepare |
|---|---|
| Subject | Protein, sequence, structure, ligand, experiment system, or project name |
| Current goal | The specific question to design, validate, optimize, or troubleshoot |
| Existing material | Database IDs, public literature, computational results, shareable experiment records |
| Methods tried | Models, tools, and experimental conditions used, with results |
| Key questions | What you want the expert to judge, in priority order |
| Constraints | Time, samples, equipment, materials, budget, or methods to avoid |
| Expected output | Plan review, risk list, candidate ranking, validation advice, or another concrete result |
Consultation material should relate directly to the question. Before sharing sequences, structures, experimental data, or project files, confirm you hold usage and disclosure rights and remove unrelated client names, contact details, order numbers, and internal project identifiers.
How experts, the agent, and wet-lab work together
| Capability | Suited for | Boundary |
|---|---|---|
| Agent workbench | Retrieval, research tools, candidate consolidation, first-pass analysis | Generated content and predictions must be verified at the source |
| Expert services | Judging design logic, assessing risk, explaining anomalies, proposing validation | Expert opinion is not an experimental result or performance guarantee |
| Wet-lab services | Executing gene synthesis, expression, purification, or other experiments per confirmed scope | Outcomes depend on samples and conditions |
You can clarify the question with the agent, have an expert review the plan, then move to wet-lab services for validation—or consult an expert directly without running an agent task first.
Service boundaries
- Expert levels and field tags are for initial screening and alone do not prove fit; check the profile and service notes before booking.
- Book a consultation opens a follow-up flow—do not submit before the question, material, timing, and fees are settled.
- Prices, duration, availability, communication channel, and cancellation rules vary by expert and service type; the booking confirmation page governs.
- Expert judgments and advice must be cross-checked against raw data, literature, and experimental results; they are not promises of success, performance, or delivery.
- When the platform must execute experiments, samples, or project delivery, confirm wet-lab or custom service scope separately—a consultation booking is not an experiment order.
Check data scope before submitting material
Do not upload internal sequences, client material, contracts, unpublished results, or files containing personal information that you lack the right to disclose. For sensitive projects, first settle the communication channel, access scope, and confidentiality requirements.
