Other custom services
More services is for CRO technical service needs that the standard forms cannot fully describe—enzyme mining, directed evolution, experimental plan design, and custom projects that combine computation, design, and experiments.
Such orders require the platform to assess the project goal, existing material, and delivery requirements; a complete plan, price, and timeline usually cannot be fixed automatically on first submission.
When to use it
Use More services when:
- The need does not fit the standard flows of gene synthesis, protein expression, protein purification, or antibody services.
- You have external sequences, constructs, or samples and cannot continue from a platform source order.
- You need plan design, candidate screening, and wet-lab validation together.
- You need enzyme mining, directed evolution, or other exploratory R&D.
- The project spans several experimental stages with deliverables and acceptance to be confirmed individually.
- Standard forms cannot express special material, equipment, timing, or compliance constraints.
If a standard service can fully capture the need, prefer its entry—standard orders have clearer fields and easier upstream/downstream linking.
Open More services
- Sign in and select Wet-lab services on the left.
- Find the More services card.
- Select Order now.
- The page enters the More services form.
The current online flow shows four stages:
- Service selection
- More services form
- Information confirmation
- Quote and submission

The page labels this entry "Order CRO technical services online" and notes the platform will contact you after receiving the request.
Prepare project material
Before filling in, organize:
| Category | What to prepare |
|---|---|
| Background | Subject, application scenario, current problem, project stage |
| Goal | The specific result you want validated, optimized, or obtained |
| Existing material | Sequences, structures, references, experiment records, analysis results |
| Existing samples | Constructs, strains, cells, samples with amounts and storage |
| Scope of work | Design, experiments, testing, and analysis you want the platform to do |
| Deliverables | Technical plans, candidate lists, experimental data, samples, or reports |
| Acceptance metrics | Quantifiable performance, quality, quantity, or documentation requirements |
| Constraints | Time, budget, equipment, materials, IP, or compliance conditions |
If material is incomplete, submit a desensitized project summary first and confirm details with the platform later.
Describe the goal and starting point
The page asks for Company or institution and Requirement description. The description is the main basis for assessment; structure it as:
- Background: subject, application scenario, and current problem.
- Target outcome: what to discover, design, engineer, or validate.
- Starting point: existing sequences, structures, materials, literature, and results.
- Scope of work: which computational, design, experimental, and testing work the platform should take on.
- Expected deliverables: samples, data, files, and reports you need.
- Constraints: timing, budget, materials, equipment, or methods to avoid.

Recommended wording
Background:
State the subject, application scenario, and current problem.
Project goal:
State the result you want to obtain or validate.
Existing material:
List sequences, structures, literature, experimental data, and available samples.
Work requested:
List plan design, candidate screening, experimental validation, and testing requirements.
Expected deliverables:
List samples, raw data, analysis results, technical report, and project summary.
Constraints:
State timing, budget, material, method, or compliance requirements.
Avoid vague entries like "need protein experiments" or "need better performance". Without a subject, goal, and acceptance criteria, the platform cannot assess the scope.
Enter information confirmation
After completing the required Company or institution and Requirement description, select Submit at the bottom. This button sits in the form stage—check the actual page for whether information confirmation comes first, and do not read advancing as final order creation.

On the confirmation page check:
- The company or institution name is accurate.
- Background, goal, and starting point are complete.
- Scope of work and deliverables correspond.
- Attachments are correct and version-consistent.
- Special requirements are executable and verifiable.
- Long requirement text is not truncated by the page.
Confirm the quote and submit
Custom services require communication and quote confirmation. The page labels the last stage Quote and submission.

Before confirming the quote, verify at least:
- Service scope and exclusions.
- Project stages, milestones, and expected timeline.
- Deliverables per stage and acceptance methods.
- Which side supplies samples, materials, and data.
- Handling of failure, rework, changes, and termination.
- Fees, payment terms, logistics, and other costs.
- Confidentiality, data usage, and IP terms.
The final confirmed outcome governs plan, timeline, price, and deliverables—never judge from the More services page summary alone.
Track after submission
After the order is created, follow it in Order workflow and status. More-services orders may pass through states such as requirement discussion, order confirmation, contract signing, project start, in progress, and delivery.

State names only indicate the business stage; judge actual completion by the confirmed plan, contract, communications, and delivered items.
FAQ
| Situation | Handling |
|---|---|
| Unsure whether to use More services | Compare against standard services first; use More services only when they cannot express the need |
| Not sure how to write the description | Organize by background, goal, starting point, scope, deliverables, constraints |
| Only a rough idea, no complete plan | Submit a desensitized summary and ask the platform to help assess |
| Need to use external constructs or samples | State source, specifications, amounts, storage, and shipping constraints |
| Attachments contain sensitive data | Desensitize first and confirm receiving and authorization scope |
| No automatic price | Custom projects need scope assessment and a manual quote |
| Requirements changed after submission | Record the order number and communicate promptly; do not duplicate orders as changes |
| Delivery acceptance disputed | Resolve against the confirmed deliverable list, metrics, and communications |
