Using wet-lab services

The wet-lab services platform is where you submit gene synthesis, protein expression, protein purification, custom antibody, and other experiment requests, and track order status in one place. Services differ in required inputs, quoting, and ordering entry—choose the service that matches your current R&D stage before submitting.

Open wet-lab services

After signing in, select Wet-lab services on the left of the agent workbench.

The wet-lab services entry in the left navigation

The wet-lab services home page opens. Select Order history in the upper-right corner to enter order management.

The home page currently offers:

Service Suited for Entry
Gene synthesis Synthesizing a target gene, complex sequence design, or codon optimization Select Order now
Protein expression Small-scale expression and characterization in prokaryotic or eukaryotic systems Continue from a gene synthesis order
Protein purification Purifying and QC-testing proteins from a source order Continue from a source order
Antibody services Recombinant antigen expression and custom antibodies Select Order now
More services Custom needs such as enzyme mining, directed evolution, or project design Select Order now

Gene synthesis

For tasks that start from a DNA sequence and need vector construction, codon optimization, or other sequence configuration. Prepare your sequence, then read Gene synthesis.

Protein expression

For tasks whose upstream gene synthesis is complete and that need expression system, culture condition, and delivery choices. The current page requires continuing from a gene synthesis order; see Protein expression.

Protein purification

For setting the purification workflow, purity, QC, and delivery requirements for proteins in an existing source order. The current page requires selecting a source order first; see Protein purification.

Antibody services

For submitting target antigens, antibody types, expression systems, characterization methods, and application requirements. See Antibody services.

More services

When a need is not standard, or combines several R&D and experimental work streams, describe the goal, existing data, expected deliverables, and special requirements through More services. See Other custom services.

Protein expression and purification have upstream order dependencies

The expression and purification buttons on the home page are not plain Order now. Expression continues from a gene synthesis order; purification requires selecting a source order. Without a qualifying upstream order, complete that service first or contact the platform to confirm an approach.

Before ordering

Requirements vary by service; prepare at least:

  • Subject: standard names of the target gene, protein, antigen, or candidate system.
  • Sequence data: DNA or amino acid sequences; prepare FASTA or TXT files when needed.
  • Upstream order: the source order that expression or purification must link to.
  • Experiment requirements: expression system, vector, tags, purity, yield, QC, or application.
  • Delivery requirements: form, quantity, storage conditions, and other special needs.
  • Background material: existing results, references, structures, or plan attachments.

Before submitting internal sequences or experimental data, confirm usage rights. Do not record key requirements only in attachment names—fill them into the form or notes as well.

General workflow

Forms and confirmation steps vary by service, but the usual path is:

  1. Choose a service: enter a standard service or More services per your R&D stage.
  2. Describe the need: provide sequences, experiment parameters, delivery requirements, and notes.
  3. Confirm the information: check subject, quantity, parameters, and attachments.
  4. Quote or submit: obtain a quote, submit a quote-required request, or confirm the order per the page flow.
  5. Track the order: view type, status, and progress in order history.
  6. Receive delivery: obtain experiment results and delivered files as agreed.

Quoting, payment, review, and delivery steps follow the specific service page and the order's current status. Do not assume execution has started before the quote and delivery scope are confirmed.

View order history

From the wet-lab services home page, select Order history to open My orders.

The wet-lab order history page

The order history page lets you:

  • Filter by service type.
  • Filter by order status.
  • Search by order number or customer name.
  • See the number of orders matching the current filters.
  • Download order information.
  • Return to the wet-lab services home page.

With no orders, the page shows "No order records" and offers Create order to return to service selection. For order status meanings and handling, see Order workflow and status.

Pre-submission checklist

  • The chosen service matches the current R&D stage.
  • Expression or purification has the correct upstream source order.
  • Sequence direction, type, name, and version are correct.
  • Expression system, tags, purity, and delivery requirements are complete.
  • Attachments are final versions and you hold upload and usage rights.
  • The quote covers the experiments and tests you need.
  • Contact information and special requirements are accurate.

Experiment results vs. platform predictions

Wet-lab orders are governed by the confirmed service scope, order information, and actually delivered results. Agent predictions about plans, yield, or performance do not replace order confirmation and real experimental data.

Get help

If you cannot tell which service fits, lack a qualifying source order, or your need exceeds the standard forms, use More services or contact platform support with your goal, materials, and expected deliverables. Do not pick a mismatched service or fabricate a source order just to proceed.
