Updated: August 24, 2026

Effective: August 31, 2026

Preamble and purpose

Welcome to the MatwingsVenus® platform ("MatwingsVenus®", "we", or the "platform"). We take the security of your personal information and privacy seriously. This policy explains how MatwingsVenus® collects, uses, stores, shares, transfers, and protects your personal information, and the rights you hold and how to exercise them. It accompanies the Terms of Service and together they form the basis for your use of MatwingsVenus® services. Please read it carefully before use, paying special attention to the bolded points.

MatwingsVenus® knows how important personal information is to you and strives to keep it safe and reliable. We are committed to maintaining your trust and follow these principles in protecting your information: consistency of rights and responsibilities, clear purpose, choice and consent, data minimization, security assurance, data-subject participation, and openness and transparency. MatwingsVenus® also commits to protecting your personal information with security measures aligned with mature industry standards.

Please read and understand this Privacy Policy ("this Policy") before using our products or services so you can better understand them and make informed choices.

Once you check "Agree to the Privacy Policy" or use MatwingsVenus® services through registration or sign-in, you agree to the contents described here. Unless otherwise agreed, terms in this Policy carry the same meaning as in the user agreement.

Scope and definitions

Scope This policy covers personal information processing in all services MatwingsVenus® provides through websites, mobile apps, APIs, SDKs, plug-ins, and other endpoints. Services independently provided by third parties follow their own privacy policies; this policy does not govern those third parties' processing.

Definitions

  • Personal information: information recorded electronically or otherwise that, alone or combined with other information, can identify a specific natural person or reflect their activities—e.g., name, phone number, email, third-party account identifiers, passwords.
  • Sensitive personal information: information whose leakage or misuse could materially affect personal rights; the platform applies higher protection standards when collecting or processing it.
  • Output content: text, models, reports, data, or other results generated through platform services.

How we collect and use your personal information (including cookies and similar technologies)

Collection methods

  • Actively provided: when registering, completing your profile, submitting feedback, participating in the community, or using specific features, we may collect your name, email, avatar, contact details, organization information, and preferences.
  • Automatically generated: while you use the services, we may automatically collect device information (model, OS version, unique device identifiers), log information (IP address, access times, click records, page dwell time), location information (when authorized), and data from cookies and similar technologies.
  • Via third-party authorization: with your authorization, we may obtain public profile or behavioral data from third-party services (such as social login or payment services) to provide more convenient services.

Purposes We may use your personal information to:

  • Account management: registration, sign-in, verification, and security checks;
  • Service provision and maintenance: providing, maintaining, upgrading, and improving platform features and products;
  • Customer service: handling inquiries, complaints, and feedback;
  • Compliance and security: fraud prevention, platform and user safety, legal obligations;
  • Other purposes you consent to. For uses not directly related to the original purpose, we will obtain your consent first.

Cookies and similar technologies We use cookies, local storage, pixel tags, browser fingerprinting, and similar technologies to maintain sign-in state, prevent risks, improve experience, and measure traffic. You may manage or refuse cookies in browser or device settings, though services or features that depend on them may not work normally.

Data sharing, transfer, storage, and retention

Sharing To deliver service functionality, we may share necessary information with necessary third-party providers (such as cloud, analytics, and security services) under contractual constraints and safeguards. We do not share your personal information with unrelated third parties, except:

(1) Sharing required to fulfill legal obligations: we may share personal information as required by laws and regulations, litigation or dispute resolution, lawful demands of administrative or judicial authorities, or other statutory duties.

(2) Sharing with your consent: after your explicit consent, we share your personal information with others—for example, when you use talent certification services, we provide your exam results and certificate information to your organization.

(3) Sharing necessary to conclude or perform a contract to which you are a party.

(4) Other circumstances permitted by laws and regulations.

Transfer and business changes In mergers, reorganizations, spin-offs, or asset transfers, your personal information may transfer with the business. The recipient continues the obligations under this policy or, when necessary, obtains your consent anew.

Legal and consented disclosure With your explicit consent, or as lawfully required by legal, judicial, or administrative authorities, we may disclose your personal information as the law allows.

Exceptions to consent for sharing, transfer, and disclosure We may share, transfer, or disclose personal information without your consent where:

(1) necessary to perform statutory duties or obligations (such as those directly involving national security, defense, criminal investigation, prosecution, trial, and judgment enforcement);

(2) necessary to respond to a public health emergency, or in emergencies to protect the life, health, and property of natural persons;

(3) processing, within a reasonable scope, personal information you disclosed yourself or that was lawfully made public (e.g., lawful news reporting or government disclosure);

(4) necessary to conclude and perform a contract at the data subject's request;

(5) processing within a reasonable scope for news reporting or public-interest supervision;

(6) other circumstances prescribed by laws and regulations.

Storage and retention We store personal information in regions and manners meeting applicable law and this policy. Personal information is retained only as long as necessary for the processing purpose or as mandatorily required by law. After retention periods expire, we delete or anonymize the data. If we cease operating the platform, we stop collecting and delete or anonymize stored data.

Data security and your rights

Security measures We have adopted industry-standard technical and administrative measures, including but not limited to encryption, access control, log auditing, least privilege, identity authentication, role-based access control, server hardening and secure operations, staff security training, and contingency plans. In a security incident, we assess risk as legally required, take remedial measures, and where necessary notify regulators and affected users.

Exceptions to authorization When you use our products and services, we may need to collect and use personal information without your authorization where:

(1) necessary to perform statutory duties or obligations (such as those directly involving national security, defense, criminal investigation, prosecution, trial, and judgment enforcement);

necessary to respond to a public health emergency, or in emergencies to protect the life, health, and property of natural persons;

(2) processing, within a reasonable scope, personal information you disclosed yourself or that was lawfully made public;

(3) necessary to conclude and perform a contract at the data subject's request;

(4) processing within a reasonable scope for news reporting or public-interest supervision;

other circumstances prescribed by laws and regulations.

User rights Within the scope permitted by law, you have the right to:

  • Access and correction: query, view, and correct your personal information;
  • Deletion: request deletion where law and business allow;
  • Withdraw consent: withdraw consent at any time for revocable processing; withdrawal does not affect processing already performed on the basis of consent;
  • Account deletion: apply to delete your account; we verify and process the request, then delete or anonymize relevant information as law allows;
  • Obtain a copy: request a copy of the personal information we hold;
  • Complain: if you believe our processing infringes your privacy, complain to us or to regulators.

To exercise these rights, contact us through the details at the end of this policy. We respond within a reasonable period and verify your identity where necessary to protect information security.
